Dr Harris Uber Lather

I think I am going to try this with Dr Harris soap and cream. I have had some trouble making a nice thick lather with just soap and it is becoming a bit discouraging. Learning to get a good shave with a straight is hard enough, I'd like the lather to come a little easier.I have hard water, so maybe an uber lather is the way to go. I would like to try Dr Harris because I have read good things about it and it seems that a tube of cream and some soap won't break the bank.
Anyway, has anybody done this with Dr Harris? Also, I do enjoy some fragrance in my cream/soap, but nothing so strong it will interfere with my aftershave (Clubman, AV, SCS New Spice). Any suggestions on Dr Harris scents?
Thanks everybody.

Depending on what type of soap you have tried already, it is very possible that you will find the lather from D R Harris soap to be just what you are looking for without the additional use of shaving cream. They are fantastic soaps and once you have loaded enough onto your brush, should provide terrific shaving.
I have all 5 scents from the normal line (don't even consider the Naturals line) and could recommend them all. Lavender is perhaps the least appealing scent because it is somewhat synthetic.
The scent from your shave soap probably won't hang about after a rinse (you will probably still notice it in the bathroom because your soap puck is there and perhaps a brush full of lather as well) so feel free to choose what appeals and wear you AS with pride.

I have great success with Harris and Real Shaving Co. cream. It's unscented, but inexpensive, and can be found at drugstores
