Dr. Bronner's Shaving Gel

I was checking out the Dr. Bronner's online site and came across these. I'm thinking I might try the unscented one. I've seen both the liquid and bar soaps in local stores, but never the shaving gel. Anyone use this stuff? If it makes a difference I'm a cartridge shaver (Mach 3), not a DE user.

I've never see it available, but will check the next time I'm at Whole Foods.i like their peppermint body soap a lot. Really wakes you up in the shower.

First link is snot-on.
Smelled great, did not seem to lather well, was not that slick, and came out of the tube very "gloppy".
Not a pleasant experience. I used it twice and it's been sitting on the shelf untouched for over a year.

I have the Peppermint / Spearmint shave gel. It makes an awesome cooling super lather when mixed with the eucalyptus and menthol cooling power of Proraso. Perfect when used on a hot & humid summer day. I like to finish this shave with a splash of Skin Bracer mixed with a splash of Osage Rub. I call it 'The Green Freeze'. :)

I used to use Dr Bronner's liquid soap straight out of the bottle (no dilute - OK!) when I was a mach 3 guy. It was the only combo I ever used where I could get a real close shave without irritation. Haven't tried it since starting DE shaving.

Sorry - doesn't answer your question, really. Just thought I'd share :)

i did the same for years in the shower. Scrub it on by hand, and shave away.

My first rule in evaluating shaving cream: avoid the ones that rhyme with...well, I won't say what it rhymes with. I'll just note that I'm not surprised a Shikakei shaving gel is gloppy, lacking in slickness, and putting it on your face is an unpleasant experience. Silver lining: at least it didn't smell like bleach.
