Dovo #62 Speciale

$SAM_0376.jpg$SAM_0377.jpg Greetings~ I purchased this Dovo from a local antique store yesterday. I am having trouble finding much information on it. The blade has "Speciale Per Barbieri" etched into it. Which I believe to be Italian and am thinking means "special for the barber". I thought I should post it here to see if any one around here has one like it or has seen one with the same markings. I am wondering about its age and really anything else! I cant wait to clean this one up :biggrin1:

A quick glimpse of the shape, grind, scale material, tang, and jimps.

Honestly, it looks like a great modern vintage razor, if there is no warp going on. Is it around 11/16s?

It is 7/8s as near as I can tell. The blade is straight to my very inexperienced eye. Thanks for the help!

I have no info on this razor, but I can confirm that the etching is written in Italian and "Speciale per Barbieri" means "Special for Barbers". Lovely blade BTW.

Thank you for confirming Marco. I had an urge to pm you to check on it. I am in the midst of cleaning it up. I will post a pic when I am done.
