Double Barber's Notch?

Hey everyone, long time reader, first time poster. Had an inquiry about this blade. It's a George Wostenholm & Sons IXL with non original scales. It's got two notches though, as you can see in the pictures. I've looked high and low for any information of this originally coming from the factory like this but can't find anything and can't even find any mention of any sort of straight with two notches. Basically I'm curious to find out if this was a modification (which is what I'm leaning towards honestly) or if it came from the factory like this. Y'all know a lot more than me haha. Thanks

Hi Sir!!! Welcome to Badger & Blade.
Sorry to tell you but the notch on the blade part is not a notch, it has a chunk of blade missing as yours should look like this. (this is a rough guide to how your blade should look)

Thanks for the quick replies guys! It doesn't discourage me at all. I've got 6 more conventional straights and two disposable blades. I'm getting into the restoration game. I picked this one up as a package deal from a local antique shop. The leather pouch intrigued me more than anything. The chunk out of it looked so purposeful/intended that I just couldn't tell. Thanks for the confirmation fellas.
