Dorco made Atra/Trac II compatible blades at 99 Cents Stores

I wish to share this great find.

I can only find these at a 99 Cent Stores in Houston, Texas (Almeda Genoa Rd. corner Loop 610). I visited other 99 Cents Stores in the Houston area without any luck finding it.

$1 for a pack of 10 cartridges. That's only 10 cents per cartridge.

If you use a blade once, that's only 10 cents a shave. Use it twice, that's 5 cents a shave.

The quality is very good. I don't get cuts, nicks, bumps or irritation with it. Shave is NOT BBS and NOT DFS, but it is SAS level, without the cuts, nicks, bumps and irritation. Blade is sharp enough to get the job done. Good enough for me, for the price, can't beat it.

I wouldn't think they are discontinued, I've seen them there for a couple of years, they are restocked regularly.

I think Dorco makes them for 3rd party repackagers and does not sell them directly under the Dorco brand.

I see the exact same cartridges at Dollar General and Family Dollar stores but at a much higher price per cartridge.

Dollar General sells it under their own brand for $1.50 for a pack of 6 cartridges.

Family Dollar sells it under their own brand for $2 for a pack of 10.

99 Cents Only Store sells it for the best price at $1 for 10.

Pics of the exact same cartridges at Family Dollar. $2 per pack of 10 vs. $1 at 99 Cents Only Stores.

Looks like the 99 cent store bought some inventory from a closed down Harris Teeter grocery store. Back when I shaved my head I used the DG Dorks a lot, they are very good cartridges.
