I've often considered a Walther PPQ M2 or an HK P30, but I just seem to prefer larger calibers. .45, .44, .357 Magnum, 10mm, etc.
I'm hearing Claude Werner railing about "ancient religions" even though I like them myself. He has a long list of reasons.
I see them as no less useful than anything else. I respect his opinion on pretty much everything else.

Of course JMB also introduced the 25 acp, the 32acp, the 9mm Browning (aka 380) and the 9mm Browning Long (9mmx20mm).
The magnum cartridges are all about greater case capacity over that of their parent cartridge for more gunpowder. A handgun chambered in a magnum cartridge really needs a longer barrel, otherwise most of that gunpowder is burning out past the muzzle.
