Dollar Tree Knockoffs?

Has anyone else tried the designer edt clones sold at Dollar Tree?

They are distributed by a character called "Jean Phillippe of Paris".
I bought the Cool Water knockoff, the Polo Black knockoff and their version of Drakkar Noir.

I will have to say that both the Cool Water version and the Polo Black version are VERY close to the Cool Water edt and Polo Black that I have and the scent lasts as long as an edt would be expected to last
I have never owned any Drakkar so I cannot say if it's scent is on the money or not but it smells good.

Not bad scents by any means (and better than the knockoff oils that I bought from the Arab trader at a flea mkt) and for only one dollar per 3.4 oz bottle you cannot go wrong!

Must be a different type those people in that thread are talking about....must not be Jean Phillippe's fine work I have been a regular user of Cool Water EDT since the 90's and I swear this dollar stuff lasts just as long and smells 98% the same.

I don't wear cologne. I just bathe in Pinaud Clubman Virgin Island Bay Rum or Ivy Club Spice.

The three scents that you mention are basically pure synthetics even in their "genuine" forms. As a result they are inexpensive to produce and most of the cost is marketing and positioning them and margin. The knockoff could be a very good likeness. I bet that knock off Penhaligons or Creed would be a poor second to the real thing.
