Dollar Tree cheap alt. to Sensor handle

The Super-Max Kwik3 razors (5 pack) at Dollar Tree have removable carts, and the handle fits Sensors. It's a pretty tight fit - there's no rocking of the cart - but it holds it tight and straight. Wish I knew about these before I spent almost $8 on a Sensor handle just to use some carts I found.

Says they're made in India. No idea how they shave as is.

Only a quick fix,
this is not a razor that fits Sensor carts at all, it's a disposable one.
My dollar store have them and they are very bad in my opinion, avoid that.

True it's intended to be a disposable but the Supermax carts DO come out...odd that they aren't one piece molded but there it is.

I just used a Sensor cart with a Kwik3 handle and I'm BBS with no damage. You have to pry the original cart out and squeeze the Sensor in but, once it's in, it stays in straight and tight, no wiggling.

Kinda turns it into a Trac II (Sensor head is immobilized).

Hey, how many other hobbies can you have fun experimenting and get good results for $1?

I hear ya. Can't speak for anyone else but I enjoy being cheap...causes me to not hold quite so tightly to mere things and not take them so seriously. At least I hope it does.

Wonder if U could squeeze a Trac II or Atra head on it??
I saw these razors at Dollar Tree friday.

No, neither one fits, nor Bump Fighter. It's got the two "rockers" (don't know what else to call them) that Sensor handles have. Will post pic in a minute.

The center peg makes it difficult to get the Sensor carts on...I suspect it can be cut off since it's only function on the Sensor handle is to push the cart off when the release buttons are pushed. On this cheapy handle, with no actual release mechanism, it serves no purpose. I think I'll clip one and see what happens. :tongue_sm

Voilà! Clipping the peg makes it fit much better than my first one, and easier to go in. Still just as stable, though.

Hopefully this little experiment will save someone $4 getting a Sensor handle from Amazon (or the $8 I spent locally).

Bought and clipped!!

I threw the 3 blade Supermax blade away that came on the handle I made use of. .....I then went to Dollar Gen and saw the PRICE of Sensor blades
I don't think I will be buying them anytime soon BUT if I run across Sensor blades for cheap I have five nice fixed head handles for them :001_smile

You can buy Persona brand carts for the sensor... I believe it's the Tri-Flexxx. I've bought them before and they're quite nice. I'd rather use the genuine Gillette handle, and buy generic carts. Especially since the handle price is a one time cost.

You mean you're not even going to try out one of the carts it comes with? Made in India, so they can't be all bad (I don't know that for a fact, actually).

The only reason I did any of this is I found 8 new Sensor carts at a resale shop for a buck. Figured I had to make some use of them...may try these TriFlex ones if I see them around.

Nope...those carts had 3 blades on 'em and I won't shave with anything having more than 2.
I noticed they also had a 4 bladed version on the same handle.

Geez.. I HOPE the clerk at Dollar Tree didn't think I would actually shave with a 3 blade razor!

You can buy the single blade personna sensitives at Dollarama up here... bag of 10 for $1. Surprisingly good, have a couple packages squirreled away.
