What's new

Does one exist?

Pardon my naivety on razors as I am still new; but as I was reading on the forum about a Slant Razor and how it is more aggressive than non-slants, I had a thought that I'm sure you people could answer. . . . . Is there such thing as an adjustable slant razor?

Not that I am looking for one as I still need to get more shave practices before I even think about a slant, but it is just something that popped in my head.

I've never seen one but that doesn't mean there isn't one from some small niche manufacturer.

I've never seen or heard of one. I think the best chance of finding out is from some of our members from Germany. If there was one ever made it would have come from a German manufacture.

Achem would be the best authority on this question. I for one have never heard of an adjustable slant, but then again, I'm out of the loop on a lot of things.

Just loosen the head a quarter turn...that should make the head fairly adjustable.

/Please don't attempt this at home.

Dear Merkur,

Please produce a slant-head, open comb, bottom adjust, toggle adjustable safety razor.

In gold.

The gap on a slant is pretty significant to begin with, so not sure it would be necessary. Tho if you wanted adjust ability in order to dial the shave down and make the razor less aggressive, I could perhaps see that.

On a Merkur slant, it's true that the gap is significant. On others, not so much. I've assembled a small collection of slants, and the ones I've had time to try so far have been very mild by comparison.
