I suppose it all depends on how much you put on. I've used both, currently use Groom N Clean, and no, it doesn't give my hair a wet look... but I just use a dab and rub it on wet hair.
I like Groom N Clean because it's water soluble, easily rinses out during showers.

I put quite a bit in my hair when I use it and it makes my hair look dark, but not exactly wet. I have greying hair and it makes the greys less noticeable.

Groom and Clean makes my hair look wet. I typically use at least quarter sized amount. Anything less and my hair goes crazy.
I love Groom n Clean It works GREAT on my Flat top.

What effect does it have on your flat top? Does it give the flatty the wet look?
I don't get any wet look in my hair when I use it
It doesn't get the wet/greasy look like Brylcreem. I think you'd like it!!!
It gives a dull shine but not a wet look like Brylcreem or petroleum based pomades.
I use a pea size amount and it doesn't make it look wet at all.
No wet look for me. About an almond size dollop.
It CAN, if you wet your hair a lot beforehand and use a LOT of product, but even then it won't stay looking wet all day. It DOES darken it up a bit, hold it quite well (it takes a good 8 hours and multiple on-offs of a hat to get rid of my part), and it washes out good without giving you a bunch of acne. All at a reasonable price.
Groom&Clean is a great product. I've started using it daily. It does not really make the hair look "wet", but it certainly will slick back long hair. I agree, it does darken the hair. I like the smell, very clean.
Groom&Clean did not work for me. The smell was nice but it made my hair really oily.

Alot of people are saying they like the smell. What is the smell like?
I don't really care for the smell. I usually mix G&C with a pomade to achieve a more wetted look with a little extra hold. The scent is difficult to describe, but it's definitely not powdery or citrusy. But it's also not heavy like musk. I know that's probably not helpful, but it's all I gotmaybe others can help with what it DOES smell like. And while I don't particularly care for the scent, it's not off-putting and I don't hate it.
Yes. Leave hair damp and use a bit more product than usual. I got used to the scent. It smells like an old barbershop...that's the only way I can describe it.
Groom & Clean is the most versatile hair product I've used.

Nice, because I like that old barbershop smell.
I thought it had a bit of the regular Speed Stick scent. Not as strong but it smells similar.
