Does anyone use Aftershave Balm when they don't shave?

I've started shaving at night. I have very sensitive skin and find that I get less irritation by giving my face the rest right after a shave when I sleep.

My question is are others doing this and if so, do you still apply an aftershave balm and or splash in the morning after you shower even though you don't shave?

Thanks,

Dave

Yep. Pre de Provence balm. It's flat out as good as any other moisturizer out there even if I haven't shaved recently.

I also shave at night during the week, time more than anything and yes treat your skin am with whatever takes your fancy

If you go purely for the scent, you could use a cologne.

Otherwise you could use a good moisturizing cream (I use Nivea in the blue tin).

Needs milk and a bidet!
I generally shave in the evening and only use an unscented aftershave lotion.

When I wake up in the morning is when I shower and my face still feels really smooth so I'll sometimes splash on Stetson. I like the scent and it sticks with you all day.

If I need to refresh my balm after a night time shave (or a morning shave and I'm going out again in the evening), I tend to apply a thin layer of Castle Forbes Lavender ASB, which states on the box it can be used as a night time moisturiser, or Nivea Crème as was suggested above. Works a treat.

I use also in the days I don't shave especially during winter as a mosturizer and especially in the days I am about to shave so that my beard is much much softer. The reason I use my aftershave for it instead of a moisturizing cream is that not only it makes my beard softer but is not as greasy as a cream which I dislike a lot.

I don't use the balms, but I use the aftershave splashes as daily moisturizers. I've added a couple of drops of vegetable glycerin to the Clubmans I have, so they leave my face feeling great. If it's particularly dry I'll use an actual moisturizer, but for the most part the splashes work well.

I generally use one of my after shave balms as an evening moisturizer - either Institut Karite, Nivea Sensitive or something else with very good results.

The only time I apply an after shave balm when not shaving is, if my skin is still in recovery from a rough shave or when I want to try out a new balm to see how it smells and how my skin reacts to it.

But if using a balm multiple times a day helps your skin, I say go for it. Even better would be, if you can find out what the ingredient is that helps you.

I Certainly Do... like yourself, I find it better to shave at night (as I dont have much time in the morning). So I usually go through the routine at night of Alum (or Witchazel), Balm, Aftershave. In the morning after shower, I usually just apply some aftershave balm.

In summer the Prorazo Pre/After cream was nice and refreshing, now in winter I usually stick to Nivea AS Balm, or Col Conk Almond (anything without menthol in it) as it's Winter down under.

+1 on Proraso and Nivea.

My face can be a bit fussy. In the winter I usually apply a AS balm or moisturizer because it can get quite dry. And in the summer, a spritz of witch hazel helps to keep it balanced
