Do you take apart your razor to clean it after every shave?

Disassemble, wiped down, razor goes back in stand. I don’t store the razor with the blade. I have grandkids roaming around at any given notice and therefore, don’t keep the blade in the razor. The blade goes on a magnetic disk that’s adhered to the top of my mirror.

For every shave, disassemble the razor, remove the blade, thoroughly rinse all the razor parts and blade under hottest tap water. Then pat dry the blade, hand dry the parts with a dry towel and lay them all on a microfiber towel to air-dry until the next shave.

BTW, this method (without any polishing) has produced a beautiful, even, non-splotchy patina on my brass Karve Overlander!
