Do you need to soak a gel-tipped badger?

Once a new brush has gone through the initial shampoo break in soaking, the only soaking the badger brush does to prepare for the shave ahead, is just a short soak in a mug, while I wash my face. Only bore brushes need a 3-minute soaking from what I understand. And synthetics don't need a soaking at all, at least thats what everybody says who uses synthetics anyways.
Synthetics don't need anything! Can confirm.

I must agree with many of the previous posts. Other than removing the odor from a natural hair brush, brushes (of any variety) do not need to be soaked prior to lathering. Hot tap water for ten to fifteen seconds or so is more than adequate. The rest is personal preference and hype.

I fully agree with EclipseRedRing, post-use care is essential to prolong brush life.

I hope you enjoy your new brush, but if not, buy twenty more!! 🤣
