I have been using Bic Metals and newly produced Schick Xtreme2 razors lately, and have to say the Xtreme2 is improved over the Slim Twin of a couple of years ago. The US made steel assembled in China really appears to have some better technology in it than a few years ago.
Do you like throwaway razors?

I don't love them, but I'll buy them for traveling. I get an adequate shave with them.
I get packs of Schick ST2 from the commissary or wally world for head shaving. One will last for more than a month - so the 12 pack lasts more than a year.
When using BIC 4 Flex I usually snap of the "cartridge" or blade end and throw the plastic handle in the plastic recycle bin. The part with blades go into the normal trash. YCMV (Your City May Vary) if you have recycling setup at home.
