Do you ever feel GUILTY wearing a Fragrance?

I just can't bring myself to wear a fragrance that I associate with a former relationship. Is this strange, weird, or understandable?

In the spirit of B&B discussion I'll take this in another direction. Fragrances I wear don't make me feel guilty but it did make me a little squeamish when I had to sit in a meeting with someone wearing the same scent as a previous girlfriend. I could not focus at all. It was an incredible and unique scent. She (the client) is the only other person I've ever smelt it on besides the ex.

Interesting scenario. Would make a great short film.

I've never had a spouse or girlfriend buy me a fragrance since I'm very picky. If its something I've worn before we were a couple, I would still associate the fragrance with me since I discovered it. But if its something that she buys while we're together and I happen to like it, I could see how I could associate it with that relationship.

I buy my wife Acqua di Parma Iris Noble parfum, body spray and body cream throughout the year when I notice she is running low and I associate that fragrance with her.

Great question. Sometimes a particular scent will take me back to a particular place or relationship, and I do get side-tracked for a moment...then quickly recover and carry on.

I have a few scents that, when I pick up a bottle, it immediately makes me think of an ex. I still wear the scent, as the memory faces after application....ROFL

Clinique Happy. Anytime I smell it on any woman, it triggers some intense memories of a past relationship that I'd like to forget. I've even had an embarrassing situation where my teenage step daughter wanted to buy it and I had to tell my wife that she couldn't get it. A really uncomforatble conversation ensued....

This is exactly the type of "discussion" I would have in the same situation.
