distinguishing the tatara masamune vs nodachi top cap

can someone remind me how to physically distinguish the masamune from the nodachi top cap? Is it the masamune that has the shorter threading?

The nodachi top cap is the one that allows non tatara handles to be used with the razor head. And so its threading goes farther up the bolt toward the cap.

The one that has the longer non-threaded part of the bolt is the masamune top cap.

Is this a Nodachi or Masamune cap? How can you tell the difference? (Obviously it's a Nodachi base plate, as it is stamped as such).
