What's new

dish, bowl, mug, cup? what do you keep your soap in?

what do you keep your soap(that you are currently using) in? a plain cup/mug/bowl? or something fancy?

i found a basic avon handle-less mug for mine.

if you have something fancy, lets see a pic!

I have a few old spice mugs I keep my soaps in. They work quite nicely, perfect depth and size to load a brush.

I like the screw-top tins from WCS. I use those for travel, a lot. I buy my Mike's in his tins. My at-home MWF is in a Chicago Starbucks mug (low cup). I tried this year's bas-relief city cups from Starbucks, but they are too deep. I have some GFT lime soap in TOBS wooden bowl.

Pyrex/Anchor small ramekins with the airtight lid, for any soap that doesn't come in a suitable container already.

I always keep one of Mike's soaps pressed into an Old Spice mug by the sink. The rest of the soaps are in stick form or came in tins to start with. I really prefer the mug, though. Easy to use and looks good beside the razor setup.

I've been thinking about buying a set of the Grundtal containers from Ikea and mounting a thin piece of steel on the wall to stick them to.

I'll use anything from original wood bowls to Pyrex to empty creams tubs to my wife's small empty make-up containers (for travel). My favorite are probably the $1 stoneware bowls (like the red one) from Walmart. The only containers I don't like are tins.

I re-use my Proraso cups, usually for artesian soaps. I often find that artesian soaps dry out and can be hard to lather. Keeping them sealed in a Proraso cup keeps them a little softer and easier to lather.

I bought a set of these plastic containers with snap locks on them from Big Lots. I paid less than 2 dollars for three of them and they hold the soap really nicely.

Most are in the wooden bowls they came in from the maker.

Ones that did not come in a bowl I have in the following containers

Conk Onyx bowl

Toothpick

Needs milk and a bidet!
what ever it fits in. old candle jar, sauce dish, some ole dish I found at Goodwill, Mary Kay foot creme container...holds a puck of Williams perfectly

I'm a face latherer so I usually keep soaps in the container they came in. If I order refill pucks, I'll put them in the originally bought container.

When buying new soaps I always try to enquire about if they are shipped in a cotnainer or not :)
