Disappointment then happy

I placed a bid on this razor after I saw this picture, but before I saw the other two. I don't know why, there wasn't any hurry. And I thought I was low balling the bid (if I win, yea me, if I lose, shrug), but subconsciously I put in a bid that was what I thought it would go for. So when I won the item and finally - yes, finally - looked at the rest of the pictures, I was bummed. Thought I tossed $40 down the drain.

Super glue. Not invisible patch, but sturdy.

Super glued a wire in, leaving insulation on the outside to accommodate the larger hole in the arm.

Good fix Jim......I would say the razor alone is worth $40.00. Great score either way.

Great fix! I had watched that razor and debated bidding but didn't think it was worth trying to fix the case when the razor itself is (I believe) the same as my gold Tuckaway.

Glad it went to a B&B member at a good price who gave the case the attention it needed! Looks wonderful!

I'd be happy with any bid won on just a vintage razor alone for $40, great buy.
