how warm does the Dirty Bird keep lather? How much water does the spout hold? The Moss small scuttle holds about 10 ounces of water and keeps the brush/lather warm for a 4 pass shave. Just wondering if the Dirty Bird can match this.

Agreed, that is a great post but I would like some feedback from other Dirty Bird owners.
Yea, I'm very close to ordering a scuttle and the scuttle threads are long on Georgetown and Moss, but light on the DirtyBird.
Can't speak for the regular I had the 1.5 which I'm shipping out to it's new owner tomorrow, but it kept my lather HOT with hot water. 4 pass shave and the last bit was still plenty toasty. The reservoir I imagine is much larger than the regular, haven't measured it but it takes a good amount of time under the faucet to fill up the outer chamber. Definitely capable of keeping your lather warm!
I have a large Moss and a G5 Georgetown. I just yesterday ordered the 1.5X Dirty Bird. I won't be getting it for a couple weeks or so, but I will do a review then. What I can say now is that the G5 holds 6 ounces of water and the Moss holds 12 ounces. I did a temp test and the Moss held the heat much better than the G5.
The Dirty Bird website states their regular scuttle holds 12 ounces and their 2X holds a whopping 44 ounces. It actually doesn't say how much the 1.5 holds, but I would imagine at least 18 ounces. I suspect it will be the hold temps the best of the three.
And yes, I realize I have scuttle AD.

Glad to know it is not just me with the scuttle AD! I have the Moss, and GT V3 and V5, but I am thinking of getting the Dirty Bird in my quest for warm lather! I HATE the feeling of a cold brush on my face during winter here in Ohio!
Well, TBH, I was hoping the scuttle AD would cure me of my brush AD....
I have a Dirty Bird (original size). It holds around 10-12 ounces of water. I only do 3 passes when I shave but the Dirty Bird keeps the lather nice for all 3 passes (hot on the first pass and still very warm on the third pass). I hope this helps.

The 1.5 Dirty Bird holds 20 oz. of water. I e-mailed Julie and she gave me this info. Cant wait to hear the reviews on this one!
Thanks for the info. Can't wait to get it. I was tempted to get the 2X, but filling up a 44 oz scuttle just seemed like too much!
I don't own the 2X, but I have a 1.5X DB and it's massive. Can't imagine the 2X!
