As long as you are comfortable in the hat, who are? People will get used to it, and accept it as your look. Right now there is a major interest in the old style hats. It will soon pass, and i'll still be wearing my fedoras.

My problem is finding somewhere I can try out a wide selection of quality hats. I do not know of anywhere locally, will have to wait until I stumble on a store in my travels one day.

Normally you have to go to a bigger city, and sometimes tourist places actually have some nice stores that carry decent hats.

Sort of. You went with the white/thinner straw snap brim Fedora. But it works. How do you like it, is the real question to be asked.

You were right. I thought I wouldn't look right in a fedora but I am very fond of them now that I have bought a couple
As an added bonus they remind me of my grandpa who NEVER left the house without a felt fedora in winter or a straw in summer.
