Difference between Semogues 2000 and SOC boar.

Can anyone explain the differences between these two brushes...they look very much alike. I'm hell bent on finding a boar that I could love.

You'll love the SOC boar. I don't know the exact differences, but for $27 from VintageScent the SOC is a incredible value. Someone will chime in soon with more knowledge.

The 2000 has Super Grade mixed with Premium, 70% tops
SOC-Special Grade , Special Grade 90% tops

Thanks. I just ordered one from Vintage Scent. Their documentation seems to suggest that the SOCs were made by them. Maybe that's why they are relatively inexpensive.

SOC is a soap destroyer. It's my go to on MWF. Takes no prisoners.

The SOC is my first love of boar. Though my 620 for face lathering is getting a work out and may have a cousin in the 8xx series as I am using more soap and less creams.

Funny, I also have the 620 and am just getting used to it. Too many brushes, too few faces.
