Does anyone have a simple explanation of the difference between vintage Red Imp 700 and 700C strops? I just picked up a 700 only to come across an available 700C.

For me the 700c has a harder surface than the 700.
Virtually identical though, both good strops.
I guess if I had a choice with two equally good condition strops I would get the c. but not be disappointed with the other.

@stone and strop - Just wanted to say thanks. The 700 came in and I just finished cleaning it up. Looks great and I'll try it out later this evening.
Based on the "hand feel" of the 700, I'm confident that it will be great and any minute difference between it and the 700C would likely be lost on me.
