Difference between Fatboy and Super Adjustable

So I finally got both DE razors and for some reason I think I prefer the Super Adjustable over Fatboy. I know fatboy has a big following but for me Super Adjustable feels better. I can't really explain but the head seems to be a little smaller than fatboy and I guess its more maneuverable. Or maybe its the longer handle. Not sure yet. I'm still trying out the Fatboy though, not giving up as its shorter and should be good for travel.

Anybody else agree with me? Would people with more experience chime in as to what the possible reasons can be?

and here is a picture of the fatboy next to my shavemac

I concur. The long handled Super Adjustable is my favorite adjustable by Gillette. Something about the longer handle and slimmer head profile make it a great shaver. I'm not sure exactly why--it just is, for me at least. I've been meaning to give my Fat Boy another try before dismissing it completely, but as it stands right now I prefer my SA.

So, would this be considered a "super adjustable?"
I thought the head would be identical to the "fatboy" but that was just something I assumed.

That's a Slim. The Super Adjustable has a black handle.

The Fat Boy had the 50's Super Speed style head, which is domed higher. The Slim and Super Adjustable both have the 60's+ Super Speed style head, which was quite a bit flatter.

Nope, that's not a super adjustable, that's a long handle adjustable.

The super adjustable has a black handle and comes in short and in long handled versions.

<EDIT> C0ry beat me to it.

So my "Slim" above has the same head as the "super" then if I understand you correctly? Good! I also grabbed one of those black handled ones last evening off the B/S/T here on the forums. So, I have one of each it seems.

Yep, the Slim and Super Adjustable have the same head profiles. The blade gap is different on each setting though.

What would this one be then?
The seller who sold it to me last night here on the B/S/T called it a "Long Handled Black Slim Adjustable"

Spot on. I just took few pictures of my Fatboy and Super Adjustable and it looks like your description. Also I think the main issue for me is the way combs differ. On Super Adjustable they are better designed for my skin :)

Hopefully these pictures will help

Aren't there also a couple variations on the black handle adjustables as well? I thought there was a regular length handle and a long handle, and whatever the heck a Black Beauty is.

Black Beauty is just another term for referring to the Super Adjustable. Yes, there are long and short handled variants.

Also, let's not forget that they made the Super adjustable not only in long and short version but also in silver and gold color as well!
