Usually the scales of my current lineup are tight enough to keep the heel a fraction of a hair off of the "fin" of the stand but I will definitely take your suggestion! I wish I had access to a 3d printer! I'm sure you could change color and shape much easier than I can! Plus you have repeatability! Where as I would have to program a CNC lathe (which is out of my scope) to get the same shape. Not to mention tool changes and going to the Bridgeport mill to mill in the "fin"! I had fun making the four different "show me" stands that I have! You should find my other thread and post pix of what you have made!!!! Happy shaves!Looks good. I'd put a bit of felt at the top to protect the heel edge. I've made a couple of these on my 3d printer, yours is much nicer.
