I'm starting to tend toward liking the scent of Wilkinson more and more. Clearest sign: I wanted to wash my hands with it in the afternoon, just to revive the scent. (As I previously did with TOBS Sandalwood and with the Palmolive stick). I didn't (didn't feel right with the puck).

I'm starting to tend toward liking the scent of Wilkinson more and more.

I have the black tub. I like that it smells like soap (instead of tobacco, lilacs, carmel popcorn or whatever which is fun but sometimes just odd). Good-smelling soap.

2 passes.
Today I really took my time and took a slightly firmer grip on the razor, holding it differently in my hand than before, for the ATG pass. Carefully avoiding more pressure, just a more controlled and stable angle.
Result: my very first BBS! With 2 passes (WTG + ATG). I did feel the pass with the alum block. And my cheeks remained somewhat sensitive to touch for like half an hour. But no red dots, no real irritation.
So 2 conclusions for today:
- I can do a BBS
- I can do without a BBS. I'm kind of happy to have that slight feeling of resistance on my cheeks back (3 hours after the shave)
So I'll be repeating the BBS-excercise regularly in the comming days, only to get routine on this ATG grip and angle, not necesarily to reach the BBS result as such.

Felt like another shave yesterday evening. So I just endulged.
Then this morning, since the Wilkinson had cought up with the other soaps, I went back to Tabac. What a difference. Except from the smell (I just love Tabac), the performance is so much better. Most striking this morning: the 'residual slickness' (one picks up some vocabulary here ). After a pass using Wilkinson, not a chance to visit that same spot again without new lather. It's plain dry. With Tabac: no worries!

On friday, I received 8 tucks of different blades.
Yesterday ditched the Mühle blade and tried the green Gilette. Gave me my best shave uptill now.
Today (2nd day with the Gilette): 2 red dots on the chin. My own fault.

Gilette 7o'clock SS (green), 3rd shave, Palmolive stick, Pinaud Clubman bay rum.
With all the bay rum discussion going on on B&B, I got very curious. The local perfume shop couldn't help me (they actually had never heard of bay rum). So with the order of the blades and the Pitralon, I added a small bottle. Used it for the first time this morning. First impression: a nice warm smell plus a very strong cloves accent. I hope the cloves ware of quickly and the base smell keeps for many more hours.

Voskhod, 1st shave, Wilkinson blue tub, Pinaud Clubman bay rum.

So today I retired the Gillette and chose a Voskhod for the first time. It felt like it was almost going to hurt me while shaving. But it didn't and I got an excellent shave. I really would like to prefer the Voskhod to the Gillette (it feels far more special to shave with a Voskhod blade than with a Gillette), but for now, I don't.

Last two shaves with the Voskhod were really excellent.
