It always makes me mad when he takes a dab of toilet paper to stop the bleeding... and then applies it to the blood drip itself and not the source of the cut. Anyone else notice that?
Plus, he really should be using styptic
I think the point is more to show the blood, so nick is necessary.
Lol I was thinking of this too. If he took a styptic pencil out and applied some anti-bacterial cream to the cut, it would totally take away from the scene and it's message lol.
I'll agree with Michael C. Hall on this one: http://nymag.com/arts/tv/goodtvguide/66076/
It makes no sense for a man of his profession to not shave with a straight razor or kamisori and not be exceedingly handy with it.
Didn't like it even before I started wetshaving.
case closedI'll quote a portion article for those who don't want to click link;
"Only one person objected to Anderson’s visuals: actor Michael C. Hall. He hated the idea of his character’s cutting himself while shaving. “The worst thing he would do is draw his own blood,” he argued. The producers overruled Hall, who still wasn’t onboard when they were shooting. And he was in character. “Michael’s an intense guy,” says Anderson. “He’s looking me in the eyes, saying, ‘I don’t get this shaving thing.’ To me, honestly, he was Dexter.”"
Well that is why he has stubble all the time...he never learned to shave properlyThe intro is great. It is probably the only show where I don't skip the intro but watch it at full length. And the soundtrack..., just fantastic. The shave part is the only part that is not working.
