Deodorant recommendations?

Hi Everyone,
Looking for deodorant recommendations that hopefully meet two requirements:
1. lightly or non-scented (I don't want a strong fragrance)
2. non-staining.

What is it in some deodorants that stain the shirts? I read a review on Burt's Bees' all natural deodorant and this person said it seems to stain his shirts. Is there a stain factor with all deodorants?

Thanks!

I used Mennen Speed Stick for years. It does have a fragrance, but it fades pretty quickly and it never stained my shirts. I recently switched to Tom's of Maine long lasting. I think it's the Mountain Spring scent, but that scent also doesn't last long. I've only used it for a couple of weeks but so far so good in terms of staining.

I always thought staining was an anti-perspirant issue.

I would go with a crystal deodorant.
If you have a local hi-health, it can be purchased there.

I've never had a staining problem with Old Spice or Mitchum (which has an unscented variety I believe). I tried Tom's of Maine (Woodspice) once and, well, it didn't last long at all. Within a few hours I had to re-apply because it wasn't controlling odor, which seriously pissed me off. I've had longevity problems with Speed Stick as well. That's a shame too, because the Musk scent is probably the best deodorant scent I've ever smelled.

I've been using Sure Max for a few years. No scent, no residue and it works great. The only problem is that a lot of places don't carry it. I have to look around.

I'm a long time user of the Old spice high endurance fresh; no staining, quick-fading scent. I think i'm gonna branch out to the brut and/or mitchum this go-round (~a week left on my last stick)

+1 for Mitchum

I use Trader Joe's Unscented deodorant. It really is unscented, does not stain, and it has tiny cotton fibers in it that help to keep me dry. A $2.99 stick lasts me about a month.

I'm quite impressed with L'Occitanes new Verdon deo stick. It starts with a peppermint note which fades into a hint of cedar rather soon, you only smell it when you're really close to the actual armpit - which shouldn't happen in most lines of work. :001_rolle

I use Men's Stock Natural Dry Herbal Pine Deodorant by Aubrey with great success. No stain, mild scent, works great!

Mitchum Smart Solid or gel (however the gel eventually does leave a residue, though transparent). Both are available unscented. Dozens of uses and do far so good with my Jos A Bank Traveler's Collection shirts!

I'm really liking the new old-spice roll-on stick formulations. The scents are modern and crisp...so far I haven't noticed any staining issues and it's been HOT lately.

The old spice gel deoderant like the high endurance doesn't stain but i jave been using the white chalky types here latley like there newer scents "Fresh Collection" with names like Fiji, Denali, etc. And it has staind my shirts. i have had to bleach all my white shirts to try and get it out. Needless to say i don't use it anymore.

Another vote for Speed Stick. I use the regular scent and sport talc and they work well for me- light scent and no odor problem.

I've been using Mitchum for a few years now and have never had a problem with staining and it works great for me. Plus, there is an unscented version if you prefer.

About a week ago I started using an alum block to keep my pits from getting funky in the mad-crazy heat we're getting blasted with in Prague. Doesn't really stop the sweat, but I got no stank and no stains, plus it's kind to my cash flow, and keeps the tree-hugger in me happy. That's my recommendation.

I quit using deodorants of any sort. I'm now using only chlorhexidine gluconate (hibiclens) too clean under my arms. It lasts all day and keep the smell and the sweat at bay. They use it for surgery in hospitals. It kills all bacteria and germs. Works much better than deodorant IMO. Give it a try. Here's a link...

***plus, it also works for acne, athletes foot and tinea versicolor on your back (sometimes you get this from public pools, saunas, showers, gyms, etc.

I think staining is very much a YMMV thing, depending on body chemistry. In fact I've had times in my life that a deodorant that never stained started staining all of a sudden, and have had to switch.

Right now I'm using Tom's fragrance-free sensitive formula. The container is light blue.
