Ask me about shaving naked!
What’s catching my eye is the soap bowl!
Smoky Mountain Knife works has them for about $35, search on ‘thuya wood bowl’. AFAIK, this is the same bowl that Joris uses and charges twice as much.

Yes, but boy is that brush ever worth it when it finally does break in.Day 3
Worked a big dollop of cream into the bristles of the 49 and soaked it over night. Rinsed and gave it another toweling. Smell is gone, but this brush is ridiculously stiff and will take some time to break in
Paul called it 16 Psyche. Beautiful handles. Looks like you have a few of them.I liked the feel of the knot, but it does need more attention! What is the handle?
"Few" is an understatement!! I am embarrassed by how many I added and left my Minimalist self cringing in a corner!!Paul called it 16 Psyche. Beautiful handles. Looks like you have a few of them.
Safe travels. We’ll be BOAR-ing without you.Gentlemen, I will going on a trip for the weekend so my next two shaves will be with a synthetic. I'll return to for Sunday shave

I am also in Niagara FallsSafe travels.
I am heading to the US of A for the first time in almost 2 years for the night. Wife wants to do some Christmas shopping. Niagara Falls, NY is lovely this time of year.
I brought my new Omega boar travel brush.
Nice! If you are with a wife or GF, maybe I’ll run into you as we get dragged around a TJ Maxx or Marshall’s.I am also in Niagara Falls
I see your displaying that famous Marine tenacity!View attachment 1372374
I might have to eat my words about this brush. I think it's finally going to give it up and break in. No idea how long I messed around with this knot. It's had many 3 day stints in the fridge, hand lathered daily for days on end. I've had this thing for quite a while (years) and this is the first decent shave with it.
During a bout of flu, I was very awkward, and dinged two of my beloved Iwasakis on the faucet. You can see the dings at the toe in the picture. I noticed that they still shave fine, with the occasional hair-grab when using the toe, and I decided that instead of doing my usual thing of honing out the dings, I would shave with them every day for a long time, and hone them on different finishers after each shave, rather than waste all that metal by turning it into swarf on a low-grit stone.
It’s 6/8 and a real favourite.@Ravenonrock what size is the empire state razor? I have a similar blade and scales from Solingen in 4/8.
Yes greatI added you Olivia, is this OK?
