December Workshop- night photography

Lookin' Good :thumbup1:

I grabbed a few the other night, but I've had to get a new computer so I'll need a couple days getting set all back up again!

I like getting out when it is dark, I think the mood in a photo can be really intensified under those circumstances :001_smile

however, I can see I need to take on the village/city more

Here are some shots I have taken during the last couple of years

I’m stumped
Can someone please spin My photos, and teach me how to do it .. some said to capture them and rotate them in a program ,but they are correct in my computer no need to rotate

Rotated Steve.
B&B software is the issue here. It prefers photos taken in landscape not portrait.
If you take them in landscape you should be good to go as is.

If you take them as a portrait try:

A) edit by rotating 360' then saving (even though they look right first time.)
B) after rotating crop a small piece off the photo.
C) check that they are in the correct orientation in the preview after uploading before summiting the post. If not the right way up see A & B

I tend to rotate and crop a small amount as it works every time for me.
Sorry I can't change your original post but I can repost them.

No tripod but had a crack at a night shot anyway. The house all lit up was screaming, take my photo.
I tried resting the lens on the fence but there is still too much movement.
Anyway here's my 1st attempt at a night shot.

two things are required for night photography 1. a stable platform and 2 a way of releasing the shutter without touching the camera. you can either use a remote or the self timer.

Thanks! I too liked the road, however the Ford did not! Ontario in the middle of nowhere late night in the winter is a terrific test of ones driving!
