Visit the familiar places, seek out new ones, always searching for the elusive find ... and, you never know, you may stumble on that special something because ...

The Scores do await, whether in the wild and online. And when you find one, oh does it feel so good!

And Gents, when you snag one please let us know.

Because, we all want to see and think ... Lucky Dog! I need one of THOSE....

I'll start the month off with my first M&F brush. It's a 26mm finest.

I just got back from Chicago to find 2 packages of goodness delivered for some awesome shave enjoyment. I received my Occam's Razor full open comb base with ridged head and to avoid shipping cost, a small puck of their Mountain Menthol shave soap. The razor is a great looking piece of hardware, nice value, and has some substantial weight. I tried it this morning with a slightly used Feather blade and it performed excellent. I highly recommend this razor based the quality, price, look, but unfortunately only one shave to date. Nice packaging as well, especially at this price point.

The other package was from PAA, probably my favorite overall artisan. CK-6 Space Nog and Future Fiction bundles. Both smell great but I probably favor Future Fiction, especially since the wife really likes it. It is funny, but my son pointed out that off the puck, Space Nog has a Big League Chew gum smell. Lathering up this morning, the bay rum and sweetness is more distinct and less bubble gum like. You definitely notice the difference once loaded on the brush.

Today I received my Cyber Monday order of some PAA fall scents I have been eyeing. I picked up two bundles and three shampoo pucks. The soaps smell great off the puck but Malbolge appears to be the winner. It was funny because Malbogle was the least appealing to my wife from the scent descriptions, yet in person it was her favorite. My last two orders from PAA had flimsy shave soap containers, but fear not they told me this is only temporary and that they will return to the more robust containers once this stock is depleted. I'm glad this change is not permanent because I really dislike this packaging. I can't wait to break these guys in.

I can't exactly remember all their names yet (still new to vintage SE) so I'll just call them mine :) thank you both gents for the great trades!

So far it's been a good month, found a few items in the wild! The first picture I found the bottom one, which looked so much like the other one i already had (which is my best shaver!) A No. 24, a sword and crown, and an old butterscotch simpsons brush!

Today's $20 Flea Market Score. I probably could have knocked it down a few dollars but I felt sorry for the guy. :tongue_sm

Left: Gillette 40s Style Tech, Date Code Y4 (1953)
Right: Gillette Fat Boy Adjustable, Date Code F3 (1960)

Both are in really nice condition, just needing a good cleaning and light polishing. The Fat Boy will get the adjuster numbers repainted.

Sweet haul!

Charcoal Goods Level 2 head with the latest versions of the cap and plate. It came with the custom handle on the left and I am also showing it with the Alpha Shaving handle that I acquired a few weeks back. I also received a very nice brush from Rick Montalvo.
