Dealing with lumps and bumps

Occassionally I still get zits, and sonetimes during shaves they would get sliced and sometimes not.

Today I realized that very shallow shave angles, where the blade touches the skin before the SB or OC, increase the chance of slicing off skin bumps.

On the other hand, steep angle shaving allows the SB or OC to contact the skin - and with a light touch - elevates the blade over the bumps.

I tried this morning with a Fasan Double Slant - with shallow angle approach it will slice off all irregularities - a steep angle approach avoided slicing two small raised bumps on my neck.

Of course not all razors work steep angle, but I thought I'd put this out there for folks to consider...

That's interesting, David.

As you said, not all razors will work using a steep angle, but this is definitely worth trying if one is dealing with the issues you described.
