DE Shaves are getting good!

After my 3rd shave I'm learning the process, definitely different.

Though I am finding that I will probably want a more aggressive blade (right now I'm using "Publix comfort coated blades but have Derby's in the mail), I'm getting great shaves now with my 1966 SuperSpeed when I apply a little bit of pressure.

I'm starting with a hot shower, fill the sink just over the rim of my tabac tub and leave the tabac in during the shower.

When ready to shave, I refill the sink as hot as it will go and paste my dry brush with tabac, then face lather, followed by wetting the brush and thickening the lather manually.

1st pass, WTG, nice and slow, short, smooth strokes
hot rinse, re-lather

2nd pass, XTG
hot rinse re-lather

3rd pass: ATG
cold rinse, witch hazel, moisturizer

Throughout the process, I leave the razor in the hot water and enjoy the hot metal against my face.

Great shave! Nearly BBS....looking forward to trying the derby blades and, if necessary, feather.

I've got a 40's gold tech on it's way to me and will most likely load that with feather blades for the precision areas.

Loving the DE razor!
