DE pics with blade, interesting?

Blade Biter
I finally get it! US and UK Techs are nearly identical in geometry, but the US (46-50) has a more rounded/thinner cap edge therefore more blade exposure.

Canadian Tech has a bigger gap, but also a thicker cap edge, subjectively feels the mildest to me.

Cap edge thickness makes more difference than overall cap thickness and cap edge thickness makes more difference than blade gap! We should have a new term "cap-edge thickness" and someone with a much bigger collection to measure effective blade exposures.

Blade Biter
Again, similar results, cap-edge ~ blade feel. Although more parameters in play.

SC has a bigger gap than the RFB, but thicker cap-edge and feels milder. SC has a wider safetybar/teeth than the RFB, but effective contact point is the same.

Sold a bunch of razors recently... wish I'd taken photos of the US LC, US Goodwill, and UK goodwill to compare...would someone please jump in? I was pretty sure the RFB was the mildest of the LC varieties, but now I don't know!

Your SC has a much thinner cap than mine!

Was it like that before? Or did you grind away a bit for the replating?

Or is this just 1930's QC? Haha.

No modifications to mine, that I know of. I believe I've seen others like mine.
