DE - Lost and Found

After reading a thread here somewhere I started thinking how i lost the pleasure of shaving with a DE and found it back now.

At 55yrs this is rather the most wonderful priveledge i have regained.

During my early shaving days, way back in the late sixties, it was nothing but DE's out there and OH!!!!.....the razors were those cheap non-branded ones that was the only ones affordable to the self made people like us.Compounded was the inexperience, bad blades, nylon bristeled brushes and what not.It was hell going through a session of shave.... each time...oh how i hated it then

Later after inheriting a decent Gillette 3 piece from my uncle, shaving became a better chore.Shaved more frequently and tried to look better groomed those days.

Then came along the cartridge types....a blessing from the heavens......that's what i thought. They were faster, smoother, slicker and above all they were darn light weight. And then who ever had the time for a leisurly shave day after day with the cumbersome DE......UUGHH!!!

Then last year found a ol' Gillette strewn among a bunch of other razors at a weekly bazaar here.......look..:w00t:...look at this gillette DE....and it's a twisting type(did'nt know it's called a TOT).Bought it and resumed shaving with a DE
after a gap of....say...20 odd years....and boy did i enjoy it!!!.

Way to go......this is Nirvana man.....this is it....pure joy of shaving.Boy did i miss this experience:cool::cool:.

That's when i started surfing around and.....lo and behold....hit upon B&B. This has been a good discovery. What an education it has been since....i'm grooving...thanks everyone at B&B.

And my fellow B&Bians...cant be happier to be amongst you bunch of Double Edgers.Three Cheers to you Guys:smile:.
