DE for the sister

Besides the obvious woman oriented DE offerings ,either vintage or current do you all have any suggestions for a first razor for a woman ..I am guessing it should be mild as this would be a first for my sister. With a birthday approaching, I thought it might be cool to present her with a razor, blades, soap, and a big Omega Pro 48...any thoughts? She has observed my interest in wet shaving with humor, so I thought I would share the love.

My wife loves her 40's SuperSpeed. It is fairly mild and is very forgiving of bad angle (she tried a Tech first and never could get a consistent shave). She complained about the short handle to begin with but I convinced her the short handle was easier to maneuver in her *ahem* area (not sure that you would want to use that line of reasoning with your sis). Now that she is used to the shorter handle she is fine with it.

If you want to get her something with a longer handle there is of course the obvious answer too, a Lady Gillette. Or if you want something new, Merkur makes some that are just a tad more aggressive but have some nice long handles.

Oh, and be sure not to skimp on the blade sampler kit because hmmv (her mileage may vary).

Nope, no discussion of the "ahem" area with the sister....I kind of thought the Lady Gillette would be the 'go to' razor, but a SuperSpeed is a distinct possibility as well.
