last night i watched a tcm classic on demand, dark passage with bogart and bacall.
in it bogart goes to a plastic surgeon, who pulls out a straight to give him a shave. the surgeon mixes up the cream/soap in a mug with a brush.
later we see bogart shaving with a single edge.
it was pretty cool to see.
