Out of curiosity, I picked up a bottle of Lustray Coachman during Clubman's Black Friday half-price sale. After several uses, I find that I prefer Coachman to the original Clubman.
Gone is the sharp, in-your-face urine opening of Clubman which I did not like. The scent profile is very similar to Clubman but after dry-down, but there is a slight woody note which is not present in Clubman.
While Coachman lacks the staying power or silage of the original (which is sometimes a good thing), it has a decent longevity and outlasts many of my other aftershaves.
Add to this the lower price and, for me, the choice is a no-brainer.
