Danger, RAD Up Ahead

Ok, I've been a member of this board for almost a month and I have a couple of comments to make:

Everyone I've interacted with on this board has been very kind and willing to impart a whole lot of knowledge. This is very much appreciated as I've been on some boards that have a huge population of knuckle-heads. Also, thus far, everyone I've purchased from has been absolutely polite and accurate in their products descriptions, quick to ship it out and, every time, the products I bought were much better than I anticipated.

My complaint: I put together a spreadsheet of my expenditures. HOLY COW! What have I DONE! and I still have my eye on purchasing more I especially want to get an adjustable with my check next week. For that I have to say you all are a bunch of bad influences. Excitingly giving us so much to mess around with from razors to blades to soaps to creams. Giddy with explanations of products we need to try.

All I can say is I'm glad I'm divorced so there's no significant other to tell me "NO!"

the way to get around this is to just think that every purchase is only a few dollars/pounds.

My advice, ditch the spreadsheet! And I'm a CPA.

Remember that all those purchases can be easily sold when you figure out exactly what you want... which will allow for other purchases

I kept the spreadsheet to keep track of what I purchased, but I took out the $$$ columns. It looks much better. I figured by February or March, I'll have figure out what I want to keep / sell although I have two razors I definitely won't part with. Then like ya-all say, I'll have to buy more what a bunch of enablers.

Gotta say, it's the cheapest obsessive hobby I've delved into.

It's funny but I was just thinking today about how much I have pared down on hardware at least. After a 18 months of DE shaving I only use what is in my signature. I have tried a least 12 different razors and lost count of how many blades. The nice thing is that I can spend more on software
