This brush ^ doesn't have the softest tips but I like it a lot anyway.

As a person who grew up going to the Episcopal church I'm not sure I quite get the joke, but maybe you do. We certainly knew people had a Bible in their house not that anyone read it. On the other hand, my grandmother, a Southern Baptist, read hers every day.

Thursday's shave was different and celebratory.
What a soft tipped brush this is! Yet huge scrub and backbone.
The soap is great, but I think maybe I get a better shave with Vitos Red.
Lovely scent.

Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday we traveled.
I'd shaved before leaving, but otherwise used the same kit while parked at our destination.
The Omega Evo is an absolutely acceptable synthetic for my purposes.
We visited friends at their lovely mountain lake house. Rode around on the pontoon boat, sat in the shade on the boathouse's porch, listened to them sing and him play the guitar (he's talented), talked, and ate great food. Very nice to socialize with good and old friends, and very nice to be invited.
We stopped off on the way home to see our daughter and ate a take out lunch in the beautiful botanical gardens near her home. Hadn't seen her since Christmas so it was great.
My shaves were good.

Monday's shave began the week right.
It was a real pleasure to get back to a real knot.
The synthetic is fine for what it is, and I am glad I picked the Evo as my one and only synthetic. It feels a lot like a very soft silvertip. It builds lather reasonably well. However, it's leagues less enjoyable and efficient than this 70/30 from Maggard (a knot which is not yet fully broken in).
Used a new blade on Friday. Replaced it today because it has moved around in the Dopp Kit. It's not like I'm fixing to run out of Polsilver blades.
What a nice scent!
Have I mentioned how you should try hyaluronic acid? Even my wife uses it some now. She likes it almost as much as me.

That’s a nice razor.After perusing fleabay, and reading some nice write-ups about the differences between the springs used, I came across one of the first pictures I took of my Schick Type E, and noticed the spring was bent when I received it. I just didn't know what I was looking at, and thought there was a good chance that I bent the spring myself. So I fixed it myself, with some cussing and needle-nose-pliers. View attachment 1095426

In the meantime, I have located another Type E, that has the open to clean option.I don't know if it will shave any different, but now I will have something to compare it with.

Tuesday's shave was very good indeed.
No surprises.
My skin is doing incredibly well. Hyaluronic acid is indeed the bee's knees.
I enjoyed this Chubby 2 brush today. It's a treat compared to the good synthetic I used for a few days while traveling.

Wednesday's shave was extra good.
Mostly it was a good shave. Most of my shaves are very good. This was no exception except...
...for some reason the splash felt especially good. It's not usually noticeable in how it feels to me, but today it was for sure.
Plus its scent always delights me.

On the plus side, Connaught just emailed me, they have the FOCS back in stock. Now if they will just deliver the Gold Grande and VITOS Extra Super COCO Soft Shaving Soap (100 ml JAR) I ordered from them in April.................Royal Mail, aaaaaargggggghhhhhhhh............
BTW, Tuesday's shave with a pretty Polsilver(5) was probably one of my most comfortable and close shaves ever. EVER. Know anybody that has them in stock?
