Tuesday continued a trend.

I've so far failed to capture very well the top of the titanium R41 with its outline etching of the skyline of London's landmarks.

This was the 25th shave with the flipped Polsilver SI blade.

In my opinion the stainless steel R41 is a bit smoother than the titanium R41, but both deliver close and smooth and adventure free shaves. Not a drop of blood. Not a hint of irritation.

Thursday. Very good shave.

Shave #27 on this flipped Polsilver blade seemed like shave #2.

My settings on the Sailor today were <1 (about 7/8), 5, and the Zero Dot.

The entire kit was the bee's knees.

It's hard to find anything to complain about. Actually, impossible.

[In terms of today's shave I mean. Still, life is good.]

Happy shaves,

Saturday. Another good one.

8-13-22.RexKonsul.CK-6.SV.Horn.640.JPG

Shave #29 on the flipped Polsilver SI. I'm considering whether to discard it. Not so smooth today, but could that be the Rex Konsul razor and not the blade?

Settings on the adjustable were 1.5, 6.5 (fully open), and 0.5 (fully closed). It's a good razor, but it lacks the low end gloriously smooth with hardly any, if any, blade feel of my big three adjustables.

Sunday I used a shortened titanium RazoRock HALO handle. You'll recall the handle is sold in the 100 mm length. Two of mine were shortened by my friend, Doug @Rosseforp, to suit me.

The lengths are 78 mm and 82 mm.

This is the 78 mm handle on the Timeless Slim head.

Here's today's shaving kit with the handle in the Timeless titanium inkwell. It's a pretty good fit, too. The diameter of the handle is 13 mm according to the vendor.

It was shave #30 on the flipped Polsilver SI blade.

Today's brush, the Omega Premium Boar with the jade handle and medallion has got to be one of my smartest brush purchases. What a great brush!

Mega credit to these products and my preshave routine.

Once again I enjoyed using the Slim. Once again it worked very well.

Prior to going to the pool, I'm taking my wife and one of our friends for a late lunch at a new place in town called the Rockin' Crab. We've been once before. My wife simply loved the crab she ordered. It's worth trying again.

Tuesday. Good shave for sure. Bee's knees gear!

Shave #32 on the flipped Polsilver SI blade. Going strong!

Sailor settings were <1 (~7/8), 5, and the Zero Dot (fully closed). These settings work great for me.

I see pretty much zero reason to get away from the final work, ATG on my upper lip in particular, on the Zero Dot. The other settings could be changed, but I think the yield in fooling around with them to achieve better results would be low. I might mess with 'em occasionally. The Sailor is smooth on a great many settings, but only on the Zero Dot is it pretty much without blade feel ATG on my upper lip.

The SV brush is spectacular in all respects.

Why use any other soap?

I've been doing much better at remembering to apply the nightly shea butter preshave. It helps I think.

All is well in my shave den and on my face and neck.

Happy shaves,

Jim
