Daily DE Razor Suggestion

I'm looking for some DE Razor (and blade) suggestions for daily shaving. Currently, I use a Feather Pro SS Folder on my face on my days off from work and use a Schick Hydro 3 for my quick daily shaves before work. The Hydro 3 is also what I use to shave my head regardless of which one I use for my face that day.

What I'm wanting to do is replace the Hydro 3 for my head on my days off from work and eventually phase out the Hydro 3 (even for my face and head on work days), all together once I have mastered it and can do it quickly enough.

My budget would be about a maximum of $100USD.

Any particular model of Weber? Feel free to post pics (so I don't have to google them all for reference) and keep in mind it will mainly be used for head shaving. Thanx.

Add a step in between. Go on eBay and buy whatever Schick Injector catches your fancy, and use it to work your way into classic / traditional shaving life.

Tradere safety bar.

Long handle will help head shavings.

Injector is a good option too.

Buy personna lab prep blades for your DE. Made in USA and smooth, sharp blades.

There are tons of good options for under $100. You can pick up a user grade of nearly any vintage you want. I'd recommend picking up a few off the BST to try and then just keep whatever strikes your fancy.

Top condition Gillette long handle adjustable. To me one of the best all-around comfortable razors.

That's cool looking and I think the longer handle option is a good idea. I'm not really one for buying and trying a million different things. I would like info to narrow it down to a couple of top choices and then just pull the trigger on it. I saw an Edwin Jaeger Chatsworth on the WCS website that I like the looks of alot. I was wondering if anyone uses or recommends one of them for head shaving. I really like the old school look of it.

I'm pretty happy with my Weishi someone gave me as a gift here. It's the 9306 model, it's the heavier one. The 2003m and others are lighter. Some people have quality control issues with the Weishi, with the doors being misaligned. I found out I generally like a milder razor, so for me, the Weishi isn't a bad choice. Others like less mild razors, though. I found even an old Tech (I think 1940s?) was too aggressive for me. The Weishi is $20 or so online, and brand new. So if you want a new razor, I'd say it's not a bad option. You'd probably wanna stick for the milder razors in general, if you're transitioning from a cart, so that'd be things like the Weishi, Feather Popular, Gillette Superspeed, Shick Krona, etc.

For blades it's personal preference, but I myself love Personnas. Even the ones at Family Dollar aren't bad blades, though they're not as good as the more expensive ones at Walgreens/etc. And of course there's the medical ones you gotta order, those are supposed to be wonderful, I really wanna try those. I like Astras as well. Feathers are wonderful blades, too, just expensive, and sharp (some people don't like that, but I love them) but they're expensive. Alot of DEs is trial and error, and you gotta do this with blades, different blades perform differently, sometimes even in different razors. So you're gonna wanna try different blades, and possibly go through a few razors to find what you like best.

I'm a big fan of the Weber, I have an ARC with the bulldog handle and find it easy to use on my head. It looks a bit industrial, but I like that, and it's stainless steel.

I use a Muhle R101 (R41) and a Feather for my face and head. I never thought to use a different razor on my head. I love the shave I get from this combination. I have love for the Personna Labs and Polsilvers too.

I entered a PIF thread yesterday for one of two razors. One is a vintage model Gillette Super Speed. I am hoping to win that one (or the other one would be fine to try on my face though) before I spend any decent amount of money on something. (Wish me good luck on it.) However, if I don't win I still plan to research and buy a DE razor for my head. I really am liking the look of the Edwin Jagger Chatsworth. I would like to hear from owners of them but still want all the suggestions available.
