D.R Harris Pink

I have for some itme been thinking about getting some of the D.R. Harrison Pink Aftershave. I have read good things about it and I do have sensitive skin which is what brought me to it originaly. I am currently using Pinaud which has that classic scent and always reminds me of my barber shop. I know the Pink has a softer scent and is more subtile. What do those of you that have used it think of it?

Regards
Dave

When I was searching for a good rosewater, I found some at my local coop grocery store...Burt's Bees is the brand. It performs very well and has a nice, light scent.

I haven't tried D.R. Harris pink because I was scared off by its price.

It would be hard to get farther away from Pinaud Clubman than D.R. Harris Pink. The Harris is very mild on the skin and is lightly rose scented; it doesn't get in your face (figuratively speaking) and then linger like a Pinaud AS. I use the Pink when I'm in the mood for a quiet, not brisk, morning. It does its job well. Still, I think it is overpriced because you can get a soothing aftershave with good skin feel at a much lower price.

The problem with Pink for some people is that it doesn't act the way they think an aftershave splash should act - it doesn't sting, it has no menthol (not that all splashes do), it isn't exactly bracing, and the scent is quite muted. Conversely, for some people, this is exactly what is great about it. In the end, what you have with Pink is a very mildly rose-scented, fairly moisturizing splash that feels a lot like water going on. The inclusion of alcohol (16%) keeps it from being gummy or tacky like so many alcohol-free splashes, but the relatively low content means you won't mistake it for a traditional splash. I wax and wane on it. There was a time I liked it so much, I actually bought a 500ml bottle of it from Vintage Blades. These days, I don't use it nearly as much, since I tend to gravitate more toward traditional, higher alcohol splashes now. I agree with Mr. Styptic that it is about as diametrically opposite Clubman as you can get while still remaining a splash.

PINK is a classic favorite that I will always have around. Sometimes it just makes me feel better. Hard to explain.

Not much sting. Not much skin goodies. It's simple and good.

I've gone through tons of stuff and cleaned out my den. Pink stays around.
