Back on track -- can you describe the difference between Marlborough and Arlington?
A good soap, no doubt. Just wish mine contained some fragrance.. No detectable scent at all... 
I really like my arlington shave soap. I also really like the lavender soap from DR Harris.
The problem is whenever I come here to B&B I can feel the peer pressure to try almond and of course the marlborough. You enablers.
I will be going to London soon and it will be tricky for me to resist popping into DR Harris and getting the marlborough. Oh, and I have to try their aftershave, and perhaps their shave creams, let's not forget the colognes, etc.
I think I may have to impose a ban on myself from going to Jermyn street and St James street.

Back on track -- can you describe the difference between Marlborough and Arlington?
I have used the Arlington cologne, but not the soap. The Arlington had a pretty citrusy and green scent, I guess. I'm not very good at describing scents, but the Marlborough is not at all flowery or citrusy. They describe it as having "a subtle blend of woods," which I definitely smell, but there's something else there as well. Of all the soaps I've tried, it actually smells the most like Tabac, except I don't really like Tabac and I like Marlborough.

I'm sorry to hear that. The scent is my favorite part! How long have you had the soap?
About 4 months. It was like that when I got it. All other aspects are top notch.
I had the same issue initially. Then I grated the puck and re-mashed it into the bowl. Plenty of scent from there on out....
This one was my first soap and I am charmed with the smell though to my seems he smells to peanuts.

I love this soap, I get awesome shaves with it paird with my Aristocrat and Gillette 7'oclock yellows.
