I am using the Daughters and Ryan and Stokkebye dual use tobaccos as cigs. I do not inhale but you sure can. They are golden in color and more dry than the pipe only lines. Easy to tell the difference. Roll them up by hand and no filter as it dulls the taste which is most of the reason to be smoking them for me. Nicotine is secondary.
Stokkebye has the designations of countries or cities as the clue for the ryo lines. London, Danish, Turkish, Norwegian, Amsterdam, Stockholm. Norwegian and Amsterdam are leading the pack right now.
D & R is gonna be Rowland and Ryback leading the way. The Ramback/Turkish lines are a bit too light for me with the Turkish forward taste. Have not tried their Perique lines but will in time.
Lots of people smoke these lines in pipes but the flavors tend to be more basic than some pipe tobaccos, and they can smoke a bit hot I guess. If you want less toppings or propylene glycol then these can be good.
I tried a pouch of Bugler rolling tobacco from the local drug store and was not liking it much. They may have changed the blend as they used to claim it had Turkish tobacco in it. Whatever it was, it was inferior to the D & R and Stokkebye stuff. I recall it being better many years back. Drum was nowhere to be seen in the drug store, but some bags of 'pipe' tobacco going for much less than the Bugler rolling tobacco. $8 for the Bugler at .65 of an ounce, and $15 or so for a pound of the 'pipe' tobacco. Light color to the tobacco and low price being the give away. Grocery stores had a few lines of cigarettes and nothing in loose tobacco or pipe tobacco.
