Cyril R Salter Fresh Mint

Anyone else disappointed by this cream, I don't know what I expected really but it just smells of peppermint extract so basically like toothpaste and not anything like the smell of fresh garden mint. Lovely and airy cream though so thats a bonus, just wish I bought the sandalwood now instead.

You're right, it doesn't remind me of fresh garden mint. More like a Mint Patty - very mint candy scented. The cream itself does a great job but I can see why the scent might put some off. I like it, although I don't use it much - just for when I'm feeling like something very different.

I am not a mint fan in any way, so I can't see myself ordering that creme ever, but I can vouch for what a great creme it is. I have the almond and I love the smell. I will likely try the Lime and the other citrus...can't remember exactly what it's called. Maybe the sandalwood too, but I love the performance of the creme.

Can't imagine a mint shave. Would remind me of toothpaste. Salter's sandalwood is wonderful.

Razorock's Fresco converted me to mint. They call it "watermint" whatever that is, and it's nothing like toothpaste. That said, the only Salter cream I've bought was Sandalwood. And I'm most curious about the Vetiver.
