There are few makers that I know of accepting orders at this time.
By asking here in this thread I may be offered something nicer than I have thought of also.
Check out the ALE razors at razoirsancienne. Outrageous.

Yeah, that one is a bit extreme. His razors are hard to come by and they cross pretty deep into art, yeah.

Yes I have been looking at his gallery atm and he does some really neat stuff.
Some almost made me buy and I dont even use a straight! hahaha
It's a shame he's not currently taking orders.

If you haven't tried one you should! There is no smoother shave and that includes splashing on the aftershave time.
I have. I'm too lazy for the maintenance haha.

It's also too deep a hole. Razors, stones, learning to hone properly, which is much different than my knives, not to mention finding my favorite grind.
If I was 30 years younger, it would be a different story and I'd likely have a seven day set of Ed Brice razors and be broke, but happy lol.

If you decide you want get a straight razor I’ll hone it for you until you decide you want to do it yourself.
If you have a heavy thick beard I
would start with 1/4 hollow 7/8-7/8.
You cant go wrong with those size so you only need razor and inexpenive strop.
