How do these two blades stack up against each other. Also, are the red pack personna's legit since ASR has no knowledge about them at all.

imho the personna reds are sharper and smoother than the crystals.ymmv
While we're at it, how do these two compare to the IPs sold in the little white boxes of 100?

Ya, Im pretty impressed with the personna reds so I will probably stick with them. But to add to the confusion, there is talk of "old" personna reds and "new" personna reds. Anyone know what is up with that?
I prefer the Crystals, they seem smoother to me, but marginally so. If all my Crystals magically turned into red pack IPs I would be cool with it.
the Crystal is the EXACT SAME BLADE AS THE IP. They are wrapped identially, blue and white wax paper, no glue and the clincher is they have the same serial # on the blade. Shave my face has a review of blades with pictures taken under a microscope as well as the blades. My favorite all around blade is the IP/crystal. The reds are similar for me, but different. I use the feather in my slant.
I actually bought my first IP because of its packaging, I love the fact that it takes up almost no space in the vanity.
Theres a detailed post about the red's origan but even after reading about 5 full pages its still a mystery.
Here we go, if you love em STOCK UP, they may disappear!!!! I've been seeing the IPs around, (in the same little white box) for over a decade!

I guess even as long as the IPs and feathers have been around, I guess I have a phobia of thinking I won't be able to get them anymore. I've got 6 new boxs of IPs, (100/box) and I just bought another
100 feathers last nite. Blades do suddenly disappear. tho rareThanks for clearing that up for me. My little box of IPs is running low. I really like this blade; it works great in a DE or a shavette.
Crystals (Blue IPs) rank just higher than Red Personnas for me. Feathers round out the top three, though depending on the razor and my concentration they can be #1 or #3.

they are sharpest but in the other hand very comfortable so very good balance... My Favorite blades.. White blue and with serial number..

Why would the disappear? they seem to be a common blade that many retailers sell.
THere is even a "new" personna red out there.
