How on did I miss this thread of culinary atrocities and wisdom?

Oreos in chili here!

Even with mole being a beloved dish and an understanding that chili and dark chocolate pair nicely I really can't get my mind around this. And I even live in a 420 friendly state...

@Chef455 Don't wrap your mind around this too much, as the Oreos and chili combo was strictly a joke. This particular pairing goes together like oil and water.

Growing up in the 60's with 11 kids we weren't exactly well off, dirt poor actually. Saltines and milk was a snack we could afford and that's what we ate. Not crushed up but we would dunk the cracker like a cookie (didn't see many cookies) in the milk. I've often wondered if others did the same.

My dad, born in 1926, had always made stale bread and milk for breakfast. He lived like he was still in the depression all his life.

My dad lived the same way. Born the same year. No wonder he was such a tough son of a.... gun. WW2 made the Depression look easy!

Oh my! Thank you @Chef455 ! I think "Mr. Swanky Pants" would be a great reason to start a petition up for @ctr to get a custom title! He's been here long enough, and is nearly as handsome as you and I.....
