I am thinking of taking up cross bow shooting...more for target practice than hunting critters. It is always something I wanted to try. I know nothing about cross bows and thought I would put the question out there to see if you guys had any wisdom to share. I don't have any hunting stores near me, so I am looking at Amazon...and the selection is pretty broad. Can you give me any tips on a good bow? Thanks in advance.

I had the Wham-O crossbow when I was a kid ... a dangerous and poorly made low-end CB.Perhaps a CB hunter here will chime in.

Crossbows are illegal here in certain states of Australia. I had one when I was in Victoria, when I moved back to New South Wales I had to sell it before I moved home for good.
