Between Murphy and plain old serendipity, I am knocking on wood about this between sentences. I have a couple of the less- careful of cats, who feel a need to get atop almost anything (knocking now). Strangely enough, none of the several here now are attracted to either the wash basin and its bit of counter, or to the shelves next to the fixture, containing the impediments of my shaving fascination (knock some more). You scared me. I opened the thread expecting to see what damage some darned cat had done to your shaving stuff.

The kitchen counter and the sink in there is among the favorite places of one in particular, for some reason; years ago, I had a cat who chose the sink to sleep in, and at different times, I've had several who thought I should turn the faucet on to a slow trickle to allow them to drink it while it was running. None of the ones today are similarly misguided (last knocks).
